Tira Thai Co., Ltd. was established on August 27, 1987 by a group of engineers
and
specialists in the manufacturing of electric transformers with
over 15 years of expertise
derived
from Siriwiwat (1972) Co., Ltd.,
the first
standard electrical
transformer manufacturer in
Thailand.
Our electrical transformers under the brand name "Tira Thai" are well recognized by our
customers in both
public and private sectors. Clients include
all of the electricity state enterprises
,
major industrial plants, buildings, and contractors on electrical work
.
We also sell our products to
customers in other
countries,
such as, Japan, Singapore, Philippines,
Malaysia, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam.

A Time of Growth
The Company was initially established by renting a building during the procurement stage of its
permanent office, at 21/626 Moo 12, Bangna-Trad Road, Km.2, and purchased the land for the
construction of its factory at Bangpoo Industrial Estate, Samutprakarn province, with its
extension programs as follows :

Production Standard
| Tira Thai has been certified TIS.384-2525 from
Thai Industrial Standards Institute since 1988 and
also standard certification for Automatic Voltage
Regulation Transformers, capacity at 12000 kVA,
voltage at 24 kV and 36 kV on 20 September 1995. |

Tira Thai is well aware on the significance of product quality as it can be competitive in the
country and abroad.

Tira Thai has implemented the quality assurance system
of ISO Standard , Tira Thai was awarded the ISO
9001 certificate from BVQI (Bureau Veritas Quality
International) a well known international body on 11
April 1997. In addition, Tira Thai received the
Certification of Quality System on TIS/ISO 9001 from
Thai Industrial Standards Institute, Ministry of Industry
on 11 September 1997. |

Tira Thai sent distribution transformers to test the ability
to withstand short circuit at KEMA, which is an
independent institute accredited as the first electrical
high-voltage laboratory in the world.
The results show that our products can pass the type
test certificate of short-circuit performance in
accordance with IEC and ANSI standard on January
6, 1999. |

Tira Thai realized that testing is a function of transformer inspection which effects customers'
confidence for the competence of calibration and testing laboratories, Tira Thai has implemented
the quality systems of ISO/IEC GUIDE 25 or ITS Standard 1300-2537.
Technology Development
Apart from the Company's own development, evidenced with various certifications, it has
deemed necessary to co-operate with several foreign company's to compete at international
level. So, it has developed and improved its technology consistently as follows.
In 1992, Tira Thai made a joint venture and technical production know-how transfer contract
with HTT (Hochspannungstechnik und Transformatorenbau GmbH) from Germany to
manufacture Cast Resin Transformers.
 In 1994,
License agreement between Electro BAU. A.G. (EBG) from Austria and Thira Thai to
manufacture Power Transformers . up to 100 MVA, 115 kV. The Tira Thai has built its new
plant on 9.3 rai with operating space of 8,141 sq. m with installation of modern equipment.
 In 1996,
License agreement and agreement on technical co-operation between Fuji Electric Co., Ltd.
from Japan and Thira Thai for the production of distribution Transformer, Furnace Transformer,
and Rectifier Transformer from Fuji Electric Co., Ltd. from Japan.
We still have the co-operation from Fuji Electric Co.,Ltd.

HTT (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established on December 12, 1991 Tira Thai Co., Ltd. entered
into a joint venture agreement with HTT (Hochspannungstechnik und Transformatorenbau
GmbH)from Germany to manufacture Dry Type Cast Resin Transformers.
Thai Corrugate Co., Ltd.
Thai Corrugate Co., Ltd. was established on August 15,1996 to manufacture corrugated
transformer tanks. The main objective is manufacturing for Tira Thai Co., Ltd. Secondarily to
supply to other transformers' manufacturers in local and aboard.
Thai Corrugate Co., Ltd. has a maximum production capacity at 3000 tons per year with new
most up to date machines from Germany.
Tira Thai E & S Co., Ltd.
Tira Thai E & S Co., Ltd. was established at February 10, 1997 as erection and maintenance
center power transformers, including repair and maintenance.
