Core cutting department
The magnetic cores of our transformer's are made of grain oriented silicone steel sheets.
They are cut to length by CNC controlled cutting machines and handled in a manner that ensures
the lowest possible distortions in the material. Giving transformer cores with low FE losses. If
required the STEP-LAP cut is used to reduce FE losses even further. Frequent quality checks
ensure that the laminations are cut to the correct size according to transformer design.
Winding Department
Our winding department can produce any kind of winding used in electric transformers. We
employ several semi automatic winding machines to produce good and sustainable quality coils.
Frequency quality checks ensure that the dimensions of the winding are according to the design.
Drying Oven
Drying of the coils, active parts of electric transformer are done either at a conventional drying
oven or in our microprocessor controlled vapor phase plant. Which has a capacity to receive
transformers up to 200 MVA.
Active part assembly
Here the silicone steel laminations are stacked to become the magnetic core of the transformer.
The coils are then put onto the core and the yoke is put in.
Max. Weight of active parts can be more than 100 tons. We do employ overhead cranes with
lifting capacity of 132 tons.
